GAINSCO Message Alerts are a series of standard-rate SMS (Short Messaging Service) and MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) programs providing various types of information to our GAINSCO customers. Subscribers in our programs have provided express consent to receive recurring messages from GAINSCO while understanding that consent is not a condition of service from GAINSCO, and that standard message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. GAINSCO Messages are available on several carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless.

Do I have to register for this service?

Yes, please contact your agent to register for GAINSCO SMS notifications.

How many texts will I receive?

For subscription services, frequency of text messages (i.e. alerts) will vary depending upon customer activity, products and services. Query service is a one-time text.

Will these text alerts cost me anything?

GAINSCO does not charge a separate charge for this service; however, message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. Subject to the terms and conditions of your mobile carrier, you may receive text messages sent to your mobile phone. Standard text messaging rates apply for participation in the programs from the 52928 number.

What number will I be receiving the text alerts from?

Text messages will come from short code (52928).

Which Mobile Carriers does GAINSCO support?

ACS/Alaska, Alltel, AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Boost, Cellcom, Cellone Nation, Cellular One of East Central Illinois, Cellular South, Centennial, Cincinnati Bell, Cox Communications, Cricket, EKN/Appalachian Wireless, Element Mobile, GCI, Golden State Cellular, Illinois Valley Cellular, Immix/Keystone Wireless, Inland Cellular, iWireless, Nex-Tech Wireless, nTelos, Plateau Wireless, South Canaan, Sprint, T-Mobile, Thumb Cellular, United Wireless, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, Viaero Wireless, Virgin, WCC. Additional carriers may be added.

Will GAINSCO texts work on my specific mobile device or cellular phone?

Our mobile messaging service is intended to work provided that: (1) your phone has the ability to send and receive text messages and (2) your mobile device uses one of the carriers listed above. You may also want to contact your mobile provider or service plan to make sure your mobile device is text message enabled.

How do I get HELP?

Text HELP, INFO or AIDE to (52928) to receive help information, contact your agent, or contact GAINSCO at 1866-GAINSCO

How do I opt out of the service?

To stop receiving text messages, Text STOP, STOP ALL, END, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or ARRET to (52928). If you have any questions, please contact your agent. Following your request to opt out, you will receive one (1) final message from GAINSCO confirming that you have been removed from the subscription service.

What type of messages does this service include?

GAINSCO currently offers Bill Alert notifications. Our subscription service will send billing reminders to our insureds, notifying them of an upcoming bill due.

What If my mobile number changes while I am subscribed to the text service?

Contact your agent who will add your new mobile number for the service.

Why am I receiving a message stating I owe an amount after I just paid my bill?

Please allow up to 72 hours for your payment to reflect on your policy.

Will I be able to use the (52928) number to ask my agent questions?

No, this is a one-way communication service and the number is not meant for correspondence at this time.

Will my privacy be protected?

Why do I need to reply YES to the initial text if I already accepted the Opt In message?

We want to make sure we are sending the text service to the correct mobile phone number. This step allows us to validate we have your correct mobile number.
