GAINSCO Auto Insurance® was recently named a Top Workplace by South Florida’s Sun-Sentinel

DALLAS, TX, May 31, 2016 – In April, the Sun-Sentinel recognized a number of companies in South Florida as Top Workplaces. GAINSCO was named as one of the Top 35 companies in its size category. Administered by Workplace Dynamics, the Top Workplaces program identifies organizations that excel at organizational health and workplace engagement. GAINSCO’s home office in Dallas was also recognized earlier in November by the Dallas Morning News, which recognized 150 companies and organizations in Dallas-Fort Worth as “Top Workplaces 2015.” Both of these distinctions were determined by an employee feedback survey that took place in 2015.

Headquartered in Dallas, GAINSCO employs over 400 individuals in the U.S. and operates a key regional office in Miami with over 100 employees. The Miami employees provided comments in the survey such as:

· “I contribute to a great organization with great people working with it.”

· “It’s a high energy environment.”

· “We are like a family. The leaders are great at what they do.”

“Our work environment fosters a culture that promotes and celebrates success. It’s a place where individuals can reach their highest potential and become part of a very special organization,” said Michael Johnston, President of GAINSCO’s Southeast region. “Here in Miami, the diversity and varied tenure of our staff provide an incredible mix of personalities and backgrounds, and yet we still retain a “family” feel.” Added Greg Castleman, Senior Vice President and Chief Claims Officer, “Our genuine desire to support each other in our business mission and in life provides a truly positive workplace experience for all associates. I join Michael in congratulating our Miami team on this notable achievement.”

“Our mission has always been to become the best non-standard auto insurer in the markets we serve,” said Glenn Anderson, President and CEO. “To become the best, we have sought to attract and develop a highly inspired workforce. It is our goal to create an environment that fosters excellence in every dimension of our business. We are incredibly pleased for our Miami office to be named a Top Workplace.”

“The most recent recognition of our Miami location, along with the 2015 recognition for our Dallas office confirms that GAINSCO is on the right course,” remarked Jeff Bearrows, Senior Vice President and Chief HR Officer. “Our championship characteristics that include passion, perspective, creativity, operational excellence, and perseverance fuel the championship culture that exists throughout GAINSCO, and contributes to the pride we all feel in the organization.”
